Built in 2001, the hall of residence offers accommodation to students of the Jacob of Paradies University is located at ul. gen. Józefa Piłsudskiego 9. Situated in the city centre, DeSant enjoys a peaceful location between two large parks: the Henryka Siemiradzkiego Park and the Mikołaja Kopernika Park. Convenient public transport links offer quick access to all school facilities.

The building has 11 floors. On each floor, there are six residential units, consisting of two double rooms and two triple rooms (except for the1st floor, where there are only single and double rooms). Each unit has a shared bathroom with a toilet, a shower and two wash basins. All rooms are furnished with beds (duvets and pillows), a table, and a wardrobe. There are also multimedia outlets providing cable TV to all residents. Internet access is available for students free of charge. On each floor, there is a student kitchen, a study room, and a laundry with a drying room. In addition, residents can use a billiard room, a TV room, a cafeteria and a car park around the building.

Our School is open and welcomes students from home and abroad. Founded in 1998, the Jacob of Paradies University has educated more than 12,000 graduates!

Our programmes of studies are regularly updated to meet market demand. Thanks to our close cooperation with the local community and commitment to adjustto the changing needs of employers, we are able to provide flexible higher education according tomarket requirements and help our students to start their careers. This is undoubtedly one of the most important factors that make studying at the Jacob of Paradies University worthwhile.

Our school provides students with comfortable facilities in attractive locations around the city. In 2011, we obtained EU funds to modernise school facilities at Teatralna Street and Fryderyka Chopina Street, and built a modern auditorium seating up to 500 people.

The school is divided into four departments: Department of Administration and National Security, Department of Economics, Department of Humanities, and Department of Technology. The school has about 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students and nearly 300 teaching staff. We offer undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, a graduate programme in Polish philology as well as undergraduate engineering programmes in computer science, mechanical engineering and security engineering, and other coursesand training. There is a wide range of specific subject areas in each programme.




The Department of Administration and National Security offers 7 areas of specialisation in the undergraduate ADMINISTRATION programme and 3 areas of specialisation in the undergraduate NATIONAL SECURITY programme. Both day and weekend programmes last 3 years (6 semesters). All our day programmes are tuition-free. Graduates receive the degree of licencjat (equivalent to a bachelor's degree).

The Department of Economics offers 5 areas of specialisation in the field of MANAGEMENT, 3 areas of specialisation in FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING, and 2 specialisations in ECONOMICS. They are all undergraduate programmes, and their graduates receive the degree of licencjat, equivalent to a bachelor's degree. Both day and weekend programmes last 3 years (6 semesters). All our day programmes are tuition-free.

The Department of Humanities offers 18 areas of specialisation (and majors) in the fields of: PHILOLOGY, POLISH PHILOLOGY, PEDAGOGY, CULTURAL STUDIES, TOURISM AND RECREATION, and ART EDUCATION*. They are all undergraduate programmes except for Polish philology which is also available as a complementary master's degree programme. The undergraduate day and weekend programmes last 3 years (6 semesters) in all the areas of specialisation. All our day programmes are tuition-free. The master's programme in Polish philology lasts two years. Its graduates receive the degree of licencjat ( equivalent to a bachelor's degree) or magister ( equivalent to a master's degree). The students decide on their area of specialisation after completing the first year of study.

The Department of Technology offers 3 areas of specialisation in the fields of COMPUTER STUDIES and 3 areas of study in MECHANICAL ENGINEERING. All of them are undergraduate engineering programmes. The undergraduate programmes in both fields last 3.5 years (7 semesters). To be awarded the degree of inżynier (equivalent to bachelor of science degree), students must defend their diploma papers and pass the final exam.

Attachment to the Regulation of the Rector No 95/0101/2013 dated 30 September 2013 on the introduction of Organisational Regulations of the Jacob of Paradies University provides a legal basis for the activities of the International Relations Department.


The scope of international cooperation activities of the Jacob of Paradies University covers the following areas: teaching, learning, research and culture. Our university participates in the European Erasmus+ programme, which provides teaching and training opportunities for academic staff, and allows students to complete part of their degree studies abroad. We offer short-term internships for students, organise joint conferences, publish joint research papers, arrange meetings between foreign researchers and members of our academic community, and apply the results of research and development to practice. We offer a double degree programme and organise the Spelling Competition for University Students of Ukraine. Our students take part in enterprise management simulation games and are involved in special events celebrating the culture and customs of other countries, including the European Culture Festival and the Night of Creative Minds.

The Jacob of Paradies University offers tuition-free 26+ day programmes designed for students over 26 years of age. The programmes are tailored to meet the needs and time constraints of working students, young parents, or people who are unable to take morning classes due to other obligations.

Anybody who wishes to complete their education will appreciate this innovative solution. The classes will be held 3-4 times a week (eg from Monday through Thursday, after 3.30 pm).
